SnapMyScreen is a small utility that lets you quickly and easily take screenshots of various areas of your desktop. This neat tool can capture an image of a specific window, of the full screen, or of a particular screen selection. Once a screenshot is taken, it can be previewed in the lower area of SnapMyScreen’s interface. You can also copy it to clipboard or open and edit it in MS Paint. SnapMyScreen also allows saving to PNG, BMP, or JPEG image file formats.
This neat, simple, and handy tool can also be easily operated with the help of hotkeys. Unfortunately, these keyboard shortcuts are not customizable, and you can view them only by opening the help file (on online link will be opened in your default browser).
This application comes in the form of a browser extension for Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Google Chrome. It’s really easy to use, neat, and lightweight, so it may represent a good solution for any screen capturing needs. Since it’s also free, it gets my recommendation.
